Q: What is StoreCatch?
A: StoreCatch is a website dedicated to helping people find exceptional sales in their local area.
StoreCatch does this by allowing people and store owners to post major sales. These events are grand
openings, major sales and store closings. If the sale isn't good, we don't want it posted.
Q: How does it work?
A: Postings of major store events are created on the site from both people and local store owners.
Anyone is welcome to post a store event. You can get started by
clicking here. Make sure to take a picture of the store/sale as you go by!
Q: How much does it cost?
A: StoreCatch is free! It is free to join and free to post (when creating basic listings)!
Q: How does StoreCatch make money?
A: We aren't trying to make money. Ok, just kidding! StoreCatch makes money via advertising.
One way StoreCatch does this is by basic advertising on the site.
You will notice this advertising on the right hand side (and bottom) on some pages.
Another way StoreCatch does this is by charging store owners for premium listings and alerts.
Q: What kind of stores do you cover?
A: Generally, we cover any type of brick and mortar store which sells a tangible good.
However, any great sale is worth posting. We want to provide a valuable savings for our users.
Q: What do you do with my email address?
A: We will occasionally send you an email with nearby sale events!
We will not share your email with anyone else without your consent.
Please review our privacy policy
here.
Q: How long does it take a posting to get on the site?
A: Most postings will be reviewed to make sure it's content is acceptable per our
terms and conditions.
In almost all cases, postings will be on the site within one hour of submittal.
Q: How many listings can I create?
A: If you are a store owner, you are allowed 6 listings per store per anniversary year. For example,
if your store was added to storecatch.com on Feb 1, 2009 you could post up to 6 listings through Jan 31, 2010. This is a per store limit.
